Bentonville, AR
Coler, Slaughter Pen & Little Sugar
Bentonville is what happens when a town decides trails are infrastructure. Slaughter Pen starts two minutes from the square. Coler sits just west with a coffee shop in the middle of it you can only reach by trail. The Back 40 and Little Sugar are up in Bella Vista, connected by greenway. It's all free, it's all purpose-built, and new trail goes in faster than the maps can keep up with.
550+ miles across NWA: Slaughter Pen, Coler, Back 40, Little Sugar
Machine-built flow, jump lines, wood features, limestone tech
Peak Season: Year-round, best April to May and September to October

Why We Love Bentonville
Park downtown, ride world-class flow, and roll back for dinner without loading the bike. Trail-to-town, for real.
Our Top Trails To Ride in Bentonville
The network is built and maintained by OZ Trails and Ozark Off-Road Cyclists with significant Walton Family Foundation backing, and it grows constantly, so a map from last season is already out of date. Run Trailforks. Limestone gets greasy after rain and the clay holds water, so check conditions before you ride. The trails here are well built but they'll still take damage when they're soft. Summer is hot and humid, so go early.
The connector out of downtown and into the whole system, past the copper roofs of Crystal Bridges. Everybody's first trail here.
Jumps, berms and drops you can session until you get it right. Then session it again.
Ridges and ravines on a proper loop. Longer climbs than anything closer to town and worth the drive north.
Bluffs, creeks, switchbacks, and features tucked in where you don't expect them.

OZ Trails & Ozark Off-Road Cyclists
OZ Trails is the banner the region rides under, and Ozark Off-Road Cyclists is the volunteer chapter doing the maintenance and advocacy on the ground. Between them, local government, and Walton Family Foundation funding, Northwest Arkansas has built the most ambitious trail system in the country and kept it free to ride. Nobody's charging you at the trailhead, so join OORC or show up for a trail day.
